Camculator 1.0

Camculator leverages the camera function of your iPhone or iPad to assist with solving basic mathematical problems. The application is capable of processing multiple equations simultaneously in real time, enhancing efficiency during problem-solving sessions. Utilizing advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, Camculator can identify typewritten equations and, to some extent, handwritten ones (*).

Users can activate the app and simply point their device at the equation requiring verification or solution. When the problem appears too small or unclear, adjusting the camera position closer to the equation can improve recognition accuracy. The pause feature allows you to halt the current image capture when necessary for better control.

Currently, Camculator supports a limited set of mathematical operators: x, *, +, -, :, (, ). Future updates are expected to expand this list for broader functionality.

It is important to note that OCR accuracy varies depending on the font style and handwriting quality. The application indicates recognized characters with a small white circle, whereas unrecognized characters are marked with a red circle. While Camculator endeavors to accurately interpret inputs, success cannot be guaranteed in all cases.

To enhance recognition of handwritten input, consider the following recommendations:

• Use a black pen for clearer contrast
• Ensure loops are closed where appropriate (e.g., zero)
• Avoid broken lines within characters
• Maintain consistent size and spacing for all digits
